Storing Firearms with trigger locks new
#274774 - 01/11/06 09:33 PM

Just wondering how many of you store your long guns and pistols with trigger locks.

Are they worth the $9.99 they get for them?

PS Might NOT want to talk about if you store them in a gun cabinet or safe, as we don't need any advertising where or how we store our "coveted" posessions in our homes.

I don't know about the police depts. in MN, but here in WI. most departments including mine have gun chamber locks for free for the project child safe program. Worth a shot instead of the cost of the trigger locks. Hope this helps...

Brian, the MN DNR was handing cable locks out free last year as part of the child safe program. Give them a call to see if they still have any.

I got a chamber lock for my rifle for free at the Gander Mountain grand opening in Woodbury.

Braink,
You can have mine. Must have at least 5 of those things - unused. Keep mine in the gun safe with my kids very well educated on the safety issue.

I have a couple cable locks I use if I need to leave my gun in the car/truck. I can lock the gun to the car so if it gets broke into, make it pretty hard to get...
