M1 Super 90 Benelli (M1 Field)

I think I have the name right- I have a friend that has this new in the box for 600, is that a good price? I am not huge on shotguns...but from what I understand benelli's are the best? Any of you gun gurus own this gun? Would I be better off to see what kind of price I can get on the SBE II? Anybody know the difference in weight? I think I am going with the 20 gauge.
Thanks

You didn"t say what gauge the gun is. My brother just sold his 12 gauge for $600.00 and he had used it for about 5 years. That is a good price for new in the box. The 20 gauge is a little over 5lbs and handles great. Pick up a catalog at a gun dealer or go to the Mfgr"s web site for all the specs.

Luke,

You said you had your choice of 12 or 20 and that you were goin' with the 20. Well, Can I buy the 12 then? 600 bucks is a good deal for new in box M1 ( is it the camo version - advantagte timber ? )

Let me know
