The fall walleye & sauger bite is literally weeks away and BFT wanted to do some thing to kick off the season with a special offering!
BFT used to do a number of kits. Over the last couple years we got out of doing them but customers frequently asked for them to come back. That's when it dawned on me to get with a couple of the guides here on the site to help me put together a kit of their favorite jigs and plastics for fall walleye & sauger fishing.
And here's what they came up with!
- 48 Precision Jigs... including the new Glitter Heads!
- 48 Paddletails
- 48 Ringworms
All for $37.99 - Regular Retail would be $49.91 if purchased seperately!
Or just look for the blue banner along the left sidebar. Click on that banner for details!
Thanks. And if anyone has questions or ideas for future kits, just let me know.

Are your vendors like Moores Bait and Tackle honoring this or is it online only?
Thanks Pier.

Wow, for guys just getting into fall river fishing this deal is perfect. You have some great choices of colors and with this cool weather the river should be turning on pretty soon!

I just had to add my .02 in here. These colors and baits are proven to be producers. They are not just colors that dont sell and he wants to get rid of. As Dave said this package was put together by the local guides as to what they use. This is a great starter kit for any looking to get into fishing with plastics. Look for the reports SOON as to how they are working. Good fishing to all

If those aren't the right colors and you're looking for someone to blame... I'm your guy.
There's no duds in this kit. I actually went back into the reports archive and searched the forums here on the site to double-check my prefered colors against what was reported by myself and others the last two falls to be the hot patterns.
I think I got them picked out pretty good.
Here's a $2 bet.
By the end of Sept. into the first week of October guys will start reporting fish are crunching the paddletails. Catalpa Orange Chart. Tail has been the best early fall color two seasons running.

James, Have you given the bleeding red chartruse paddletails a try yet? I found this Spring when they were going on the catalpa if they started to slow down then the bleeding red seemed to get a few more. The more I use paddletails the more I like them! Ringworms still get alot of use but there are certain colors of paddletails that I order by the hundred because they are consistent producers. Thank God Summer is over and we are starting to get into fishing/hunting season. August was the longest year of my life.

James hit it right on the head about the Catalpa Orange/Chart tail paddletail. That is by far my most productive color. I am drooling all over myself just thinking about how hard the eyes and saugers smack these things, especially when dragging them.

I agree. I have ordered a few things direct from BFN tackle and have nothing but possitive things to say. I think I may have to try them out this weekend.
Thanks for the stuff Dave, and thanks for the advise James.
See you on the water

I used the gold jigs up north on Big Cormoran lake this last weekend worked great with a redtail vertical jigging, I didn't try any of the other color. But I can't wait.

I'm sorry Dave, when I first eyeballed your glitter jigs...I said..."That looks like the costum jewlery grandma wore!"
Then I was on Mille Lacs with Jimm...er James and learned to keep my mouth shut..well, sort of.
I need to get a report up but I have a couple things that need tending to. Hope to have it up tonight. Reading this thread...I figure I should make a quickie post.
All I can say is walleyes love costum jewlery!
PS Too many fish to keep track of...I think this was a 27" pitching to rocks.
PSS When she hit...I think you could hear it all over the lake.....WHAM! FISH ON!!
