Multi-State Carry Course

Minnesota statutes offer the law-abiding citizen the opportunity to secure a permit to carry a concealed firearm. This course is designed to meet the requirements to allow you to apply for that permit. Topics covered include:

* Handgun Basics
* Mental Preparation
* Shooting Fundamentals
* Use of Deadly Force
* Conflict Avoidance
* Basic Tactics
* Proficiency test

This is NOT an entry level class. Basic handgun experience is required.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be given a certificate. A copy of this certificate, proficiency test and your I.D., along with other forms the state will provide, must be submitted with $100.00 fee to the county office in charge of processing permits where you live. Once submitted the average time to receive your permit is 30 days.

Bill’s certificate is accepted when applying in Florida for multi-state reciprocity. Applications must be ordered from the state department of licensing. The fees are: $42.00 Fingerprint fee/background check + $75.00 License fee = Total $117.00. The permit is good for 5 years. Once approved your Florida permit to carry will give you reciprocity in the following states: MT, ND, SD, ID, WY, UT, CO, AZ, NM, TX, OK, MO, AR, LA, MS, AL, GA, TN, KY, IN, OH, MI, PA, VA, NC, VT, NH, DE, AK, FL Always check individual state laws for compliance.

We suggest that you bring your cased and unloaded handgun, along with 50 rounds or more of factory ammunition. You may rent a firearm for $15.00 but remember, you must be able to safely operate the firearm and have a working knowledge of its safety features. We strongly recommend renting the model before your course date to familiarize your self with the firearm. The course is approximately 6 hours long. Cost is $150.00 (Ask for the In-DepthAngling MEMBER discount) which includes classroom materials, range fee, targets, hearing and eye protection.

I attended Bill's Concealed Carry class in Circle Pines...I think all the IDA members that attended would say they had fun and learn a lot along with having hands on experiance with a lot of the styles of holsters and weapons used in todays concealed carry world.

Took mine from Defensive Edge (www.SLR15.com). The Teacher is a police officer and the SWAT trainer for around here. Great couse also the owner of SLR15 a line of AR15 rifles. Bill's is a good course too. I've had a few friends take it. And have a couple friends working there.
