#601499 - 05/25/08 02:44 PM

fri may 23 was my birthday and for the 3rd time since i started turkey hunting i was able to hunt on my b-day (0-2 so far) started kinda slow with a few gobbles in the distance finnally about 615 3 toms made there way across the field peeking over the hill once in awhile but showed no interest about 645 i could see them about 150 yards to my left 1 strutting rest feeding gave a few calls and sure enough they were headed my way took forever for them to close the distance then they went right and crested the hill only to hang up there after 20 minutes of leaf scratching with my boot to which he would gobble and strut every time 5 jakes joined the party and they decided to come on over bringing the toms with them when the strutter got to 30 yards i let him have it 21 lbs 9.5 inch beard 3/4 inch spurs happy b-day to me any ideas how to get rid of the awful teal color my blind has turned? not that the turkeys care

Congrats on your tom! I've hunted everyday of the last 2 seasons and have yet to seal the deal.

How long have you had the blind? Can you send it back? That's a bummer!

Id give Double Bull a call on the blind...I bet they would replace it....All dealings Ive had with them has been great..Although they moved out of their Becker location as Primos now bought them..
