Heading up to Baudette for the first time. Last year my buddy and his group had 41 on the ground before heading to work the fishing charters . High expectations hopefully they won't be let down!

Re: Isn't Anyone Excited for Early Season???
[Re: Lip Ripper]
I was excited then Mom said with a 6 month old I would be wise to stay at home a little more this year. So I cut that out early season. However I added 3 days to my opening pheasant hunt. If you leave and don't come back it's only 1 hunt right?
went to cabelas friday morning, blew the goose call so much on the way over and the way back i cracked a brand new reed i just put in! calls are sounding good, new dekes look great, and i got a field with 150+ geese in it. im ready!

Tell me about it. I can not wait to get back out there. This is what we live for all year! (At least me anyway!)

[Re: Dunn]
Heidi and I scouted a bit over the weekend. Not many crops down out here. Only a few hay and wheat fields are down. The corn should be coming down by second weekend of early goose but definitely won't be this weekend.
There are a lot of geese around but they are scattered all over the place and they aren't using anything consistently. We will keep lookin evenings the rest of the week and see if we can find something for the weekend.
We hit Cabelas over the labor day weekend and picked up 16 GHG FFD full bodies to add to our spread which will be really nice since we have just been hunting over shells the last couple years.
