G, I only found the Browning to be a youth or small frame and $1500 is a lil out of my price range.

Check out LEGACYSPORTS website and their Escort shotguns, they offer a 20ga. youth model a buddy of mine bought one of these for his son, they sell for around $500 and so far it has functioned flawless. You can also check TRI-STAR guns out I think they might also offer one. These are a couple companies that are up and coming, not to hard on the pocket book and seem to offer some good bang for your buck.

I found two good options for youth semi-auto shotguns. Remington 11-87 youth. This is available in both 12 and 20 guage. This is a low recoiling gas operated gun. $710.00

Charles Daly Field HunterVR-MC Youth. This is a 20 guage. $385

Those seem to be the best options for starting out as well as meeting the needs of your Mr Ripper.

The prices are based on current vendor pricing. Please feel free to let me know if I can help further. Doug McCulloch Bill's Gun Shop 763-533-9594

I'd just pick the gun she wants and have the stock shortened. $50-$100 will be the cost at a gunsmith. I brought a stock up the local high school woodshop, the instructor did it for $20. I had to buy a aftermarket cap $5 and trim, sand, polish to fit. Looked like it came that way.

That said, the Urika 391 in 20ga, weighs 6lbs, narrow reciever, forearm and stock. Sweet little shooter. Just my opinion but I think she'll enjoy shooting a 20ga much more than a 12ga. Both lighter and less recoil but has plenty of knock down.

Rob, Have you done something about this yet??
I really think that you/Stacy would be better of if she got fitted by a gunsmith. I hear that Cabela's does a decent job. Than she could get the stock of the gun that she has been using cut to fit her.
Next give me a shout so we can get her out to the range and practice.
Ron

That is the problem. She does not like the stock on her gun, too long. She started using my 12 gauge as she likes that better. I then was using her 20 gauge, which is a sweet gun, but missing some extra knock down power that I think would help her and her confidence as long as she can handle the 12.

Yes, Ron please do get her out on a range. She most definitely would listen better to another opinion and coaching. I was just thinking about that yesterday and was going to call you on Monday.

Well lets get together with both guns, I will bring mine as well, and see if we can find a stock that fits her.
I am sure that she can handle a 12 gauge, the way she handles you
Monday should be open

We can run up to Metro and shoot there, I should be able to talk Rick in to letting us play with the traps so we can get you on target.
