Our party hunting all private land around Woodland, Mn found that it was extremely slow as to how many shots we heard all weekend. Other members of the group have been deer hunting up there for 30+ years and they cannot ever remember hearing less shooting. Any other comments....

Fifty Lakes area near Cross Lake...VERY slow. Deer really bedded down for both days. I really think they are there but not moving with the wind we had on both days. I got outa, my stand to do my "daily duty" and walked a mere 60 yards into some thick popple's and up jumped three flags. Just not moving. I cannot wait till 3rd weekend myself...DS

Same thing around Mora. Not much to see and not much shooting. I think the wind kept them bedded down through the entire weekend.
My FIL has a trail cam set up on the food plot he hunts, Lots of pictures from last week, wrapping up with two around midnight on Friday of a 6 and a fork. After that, which is when the wind picked up, there were two pictures all weekend. These were of a doe and fawn during daylight, while he was in his stand.
I hunt about a mile north and experienced the same thing. Nothing but a doe and a fawn on Saturday evening headed into a corn field just before dark.
Very slow to say the least.

Yep, REAL slow North of McGregor. That low pressure moved in Friday and moved out just after dark last night. Today is a different story however. The High Pressure system moved in and the deer are up and moving big time. I saw 4 different bucks today in day light, 3 nice ones and one shooter

Same thing here in SE MN not much shooting for us with all the wind did not help any. Last night was the most action we saw four guys out of five had shots at does last night but no one connected. I saw a 4 point this morning should get better now with this wind laying down, on my way out the door now.
