iDoHunting Summer Get Together along with an Archery Shoot!
We are proud to announce our First Annual iDoHunting Summer Get Together! This is a great chance to put some names with faces, talk about the upcoming hunting seasons and share a few stories about hunting seasons gone by. Our own Rob Stenger and Brad Juaire are going to kick off the get together with a few words about the direction of iDoHunting, how to become a pro staff member and some plans for future events.
Grills will be provided so bring your own beverages  and food to grill!  Dogs are welcome too!  (as long as they're leashed)
Please feel free to attend this FREE get together if you are a member or even a guest on the site. It’s a great chance to meet some passionate hunters like yourself and make some new friends along the way. This is open for all hunters (bow, gun, deer, big game, waterfowl, upland, predator etc...)

I just want to make it CRYSTAL clear this is a HUNTING GTG. If you don't shoot archery, but like to bear, pheasant, upland, predator, duck, goose, turkey, prairie dog, deer, moose, elk, pronghorn, sheep, crow, rabbit, squirrel, snipe, etc. hunt or trap, you are still very welcomed to join us at the Pavilion @ 1 PM. We look forward to seeing everyone there and are excited to meet some new members along with putting a face with some of the other members we have not met yet. If you are not signed up as a IDO Hunting member you are still invited to join us and meet other members.
The Youth are always encouraged and invited to attend.

Jami, I will be the first to tell you. I'm not a Great shot, especially at a target. I can shoot, but when it comes down to drawing on a deer and making the shot, especially on a big buck, I'm probably better then most.

I am trying to get a handle on how many guys will be there and need assistance with bow tuning? I will have my paper tuning rack and tools there. The only thing I will not have is a bow press, but I will be able to do pretty much everything else. Sooo how many guys are anticipating in needing some tuning.
Lip I was wondering how much money you were going to bring I think at a buck per target $28.00 should be enough

they are all burlap animal targets on excelsior bales. no broad heads are allowed. they elevated platforms are pretty cool and I cant wait to shoot out of the ground blinds

One thing that I would like to point out to everyone in regard to the archery shoot is that THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION! . It's about getting together and meeting other iDohunting members and friends while sharing our passion for archery equipment and hunting with a bow. So wipe the dust off your bow and meet us out there. We will also have some very experienced individuals in attendance that can assist in helping you properly tune your bow!

So without a doubt if your contemplating on making the trip or not – you really need to go!, I have seen some very cool events like this take place in the past and they are “really cool” it becomes more of a meet and great club event - everyone here that scans this site, be it a regular or the folks that just hang back and read. You really need to make the drive because if you don’t and then the regrets come in after the fact when everyone here is yaking about how great and awesome this get together was - you will be saying dang next year I have to.
Because it really changes what you have here, this is a great web site and you get to know the names but when you’re spending a day or even 2 with the group it changes from a web site to a close bonded bunch of friends that all have the same things in common and that’s hunting and the outdoors.
So like I said if you’re debating – make the trip

Just moved a couple pins for the Elk Hunt next week... after the GTG 20...35...50 yards. That's about as far as I am "comfortable" in ideal conditions.... so the 70 yarder will have to be Ritter, Waller and Gutone... I suppose I could hold 16 inches high  I can't wait either

Well just got back home. What a great day. Nice and sunny. Not too hot. Great to meet everyone. Got to meet the guys from Covert Kurt and Mike and see their blinds. Great guys and great blinds Gotta call the little brother and tell him about them then place an order for the big blind Command Post XL. Nice to meet Sorgey who turned out to be from my area. So I'll have to PM him sometime to shoot at Wolf Track. Got to meet the Famous Big G. Found out Little G isn't his son. And lots of other great people too.

Had a great time at the event as well. Tony P...you the man! Not only did he travel 4 hours to the event, but he put on a clinic on the range. Next time I'll get you though...I'll make sure my peep isn't loose! And I hope for your wifes sake that you didn't get any poison ivy! 
As for the rest of the event it was awesome meeting new members and seeing good friends again. (Tina and Stacie, I'll make sure Jackie comes to the Big Buck party! )

Special thanks to everyone. It's funny how everyone pulls together to get an event like this organized and pulled-off.
