Homemade jerkey new
#627546 - 09/14/09 01:15 PM

With the day off today and after shooting the doe I got on sat I decided to make some jerkey But the gun that I had from last year seemed to disapear anyways the onalaska farm and fleet has a great one there for only 13.63 and it worked great today comes with 3 differnt tips and a few packs of seasoning. My own that I use in the meat is liquid smoke, onion powder, salt&pepper, garlic powder, and beef bulion and it turns out great but anyways just thought I would spread the word about the jerkey gun its a great deal for the quality.

I usually don't use burger, but have had some good stuff from guys who do. I usually cut the meat as uniform as I can, brine, and dehydrate. I have used homemade brines and they are very good. Backwoods brand seasonings are what I have been using lately, and its very good. Bear jerky, here we come!
