They should have found tall tree and a short rope for this guy. Insted they give him a slap on the wrist and here he is again. At least nobody got killed this time.
Hunter Who Killed Son Rearrested for DWI Updated: Monday, 01 Feb 2010, 11:32 PM CST Published : Monday, 01 Feb 2010, 10:14 PM CST
The hunter, who mistakenly killed his son, was rearrested after violating the terms of his probation for allegedly driving under the influence.
Leo Albretch came home to find his mail scattered across the street a week and a half ago. His wife thought vandals had destroyed their mailbox, but it turned out to be the latest warning sign from a man who's had his share of trouble over the last couple of years.
Albretch says he was approached a few minutes later by Anthony Klaseus, who admitted he'd hit Albretch's mailbox with his side-view mirror. Klaseus later told police he had had five beers at his parent's house at the end of the cul-de-sac, where he'd been house sitting.
Even though he blew a .07 on a portable breathalyzer, which is below the legal limit to drive, police say Klaseus failed a field sobriety test. They also found two beer cans on the floor of his pickup truck and officers arrested him on suspicion of drunk driving. This isn't the first time Klaseus has been in trouble with the law.
Nearly two years ago, he shot and killed his 8-year-old son, Hunter, after mistaking him for a turkey while the two were hunting near Belle Plaine. At the time of the shooting, Klaseus had drugs in his system. Prosecutors say his arrest for driving under the influence violates his probation for manslaughter because he's not allowed to have any drugs or alcohol or break the law.
Albretch was able to repair his mailbox within a few days but he says it'll be much harder for his neighbor's son to put his life back together.
A judge gave him 60 days in jail as well as 90 days of electronic home monitoring after that. He must also undergo chemical assessment within 30 days and still faces penalties for his DWI.

You know if it was one of us, and we lost ourselves in a bottle I'd have some empathy. Sorry, not for this guy. He needs to be locked up so he can be forced to sober up.

The guy will probably get more jail time for hitting the mail box while driving below the legal limit than de did for killing his son while high on drugs. The laws in this state when it comes to crimes against children are way messed up. This guy should not have even been out on the street to be able to drink a few beer's.

I'm not sure how anyone could live with himself going through life knowing that you took your own child's life away due to being reckless with drugs and alcohol. He obviously has not come to terms with it and continues to abuse himself and others around him. I hope he gets the professional help that is needed so he can stop the abuse.

i hope that you're talking about a warden, or his cell mate (hopefully named T-Bone).

One thing we all need to keep in mind is the rest of the family members who are related Anthony Klaseus and who have suffered immensely due to Anthony's actions. It's not their choice that they are related to Anthony. I'm sure they are going through a lot right now and will be for some time. If Anthony was your brother, or your father, or your uncle or your child - would you view it a little differently? Would you try and get him help? It's easy to say no... unless of course you are actually in their shoes.

This is just my opinion and everyone here has the right to their own opinions. I would imagine his family (as any family would in a horrible situation like this) tried to help him through his tragedy. I couldn't imagine them not doing so. But it's quite obvious (to me anyway) that he has elected not to seek help. If he was my brother or uncle I would do anything I could to help him get through it...but if he doesn't feel he has a probem or just doesn't want anyones help, then there is really nothing anybody can do until he realizes himself that he has a problem. But for now the best place for him is behind bars again! What happens after that is up to him again. Just my .02

Addiction to drugs or booze is a terrible thing, and for many there is no shaking it once it takes a hold. But in the beginning, it is a life style choice; nobody forces an individual down that path but themselves. So while I can pity a person lost to addiction, I don't actually feel sorry for them. In this case it sounds as if the guy is a complete waste of space.
A few weeks in solitary in jail might help him go cold turkey, but I bet he would revert to his old ways on release..

Very good point Mike! Anthony should serve his time behind bars for the crimes that he has committed and if he can't change himself, than no one can change him.

It was just a mailbox this time, but what if it was your kid walking?
Compassion was granted to this guy once. He received only 30 days in the work house for killing a kid while he was hunting high, drunk, tresspasing, without a licence, and he had prior drug convictions. Fair, blind justice should have been administered to this guy. Not a slap on the wrist, sorry for your loss, don't do it again. Now he'll serve his 90 for probation violation, and maybe 90 more for the DUI. Hopefully we don't hear his name again....but I'd bet we do.

I believe a long walk in the woods that he just never comes back from would do this guy and the world the best good. We have a great spot up north where the wolves and coyotes play that I think would make a great vacation for this clown.
