I just placed my order for the pants, shirt and hat! I've always been worried about ticks when I'm shed hunting, picking morels, or anything else in the outdoors. I can't wait to try this stuff out!

My only question is since its not an insulated article of clothing, will it still be effective if you put layers over it for extra warmth? Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

JC I would say yes it will still be effective. You might find ticks on your out layer clothing but with this stuff next to your skin I would imagine they would not latch on. I will pose this question to Gamehide and should have a response early next week!

Sorry for the late response JC but I have been away from the site due to Lil Rippers Birth. But to answer your question. It will still work as a layering piece and the chances of the ticks actually getting on you are slim to none. It does work best as your outer layer but like I said it can be used as a layering piece and will keep the ticks off of your body.

I hope this helps.

Has anyone else tried this??? I wore it out in SD where there are a few TICKS, but not a ton like back home here in MN or WI. I found no ticks on me. Anyone have feedback?

I will be out next weekend Turkey Hunting with my niece hopefuly and try this gear out in the tick woods of MN.

I wore this gear earlier this week while filming with Joel in SE MN. Over 2 days of hiking through thick brush and grass and at the end of each day not one tick was to be found.

I did some scouting on Friday in my jeans and pulled off 6 ticks within a couple of hours. I wore my Elimitick clothing while hunting on Sat and Sun in the same exact area and not one tick!

Thank you Gamehide!

Can I get that stuff for my dogs???

Been as bad a year as I can remember for me as I have three black and blue spots from the damn things. At this time I am checking my entire body in the a.m. before I dress for work and in the p.m. before I change into the sweats for the night. That doesn't include the two that we found just attached causing no black and blue, just a little loss of skin.

OK I am thinking about adding this stuff to my arsenal as I chased a turkey through the woods last night and got back in the truck and found four immediately, not to mention the two when I got home and naked to inspect the rest (I know, TMI).

Are you guys thinking that you will be buying this each year or even spring and fall??? Duh!!! I guess I don't have to wash every time out, eh??? So it will last a longer period of time...

While the weather the last few days really wasn't condusive to tick movement, I still wore my elimitick all weekend. Not a single one. Brad and I were in the woods together for over 30 hours total this weekend. Plus Brad was there a couple days earlier.

Neither of us had a single tick!!

I'M SOLD!! Seriously, I'm a tick magnet. Ask Brad.

I will be ordering another set sometime this summer just to have a couple pairs.

MBenson, I do not wash mine every time out. These Garments are good for around 70 washings. So I would figure these would last for a couple of years for me.

I'm sold. I spent a lot of hours in tick infested woods and grassy areas this spring. Once I started wearing the Elimitick product, not a single one on me.

Thanks Gamehide!!
