Alaskan woman killed by wolves
#651783 - 03/13/10 12:48 PM

Saw this video on Fox news that a pack of wolves in Alaska killed a young woman. State troopers investigated and the coroner ruled the death to be by animal mauling and not by bears. Maybe this will be the wakeup to control these killers.

Read this also. Sad story. It is only a matter of time before something like that happens around this area too and you can count on the DNR for blaming it on something OTHER than wolves.

My condolences go out to Candice's family. What a horrific way to die.

Hard to believe that this has not happened before and I always thought it was just a matter of time as the wolf population continues to grow in recent years. I especially liked the comment made by the women who was being interviewed in regard to the size of a human doesn't matter when facing a pack of wolves.

We saw the arial photos on this forum of them taking down that moose so if they can do that to a 1500 pound animal you best be armed from now on if you go in the outdoors where there are wolves.

Im sure it has happened before, often blamed on rabid ground squirrels or killer wild turkeys; never a wolf.

Just think once the wolf has lost all fear of humans such as it is happening currently. Humans are the perfect target, naive, slow, basically defenseless to a pack and made of meat.
